Rescue and Re-home cats and kittens

When spring arrives each year, we at the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic are also prepared for the arrival of kittens.

With so many stray cats around our surrounding towns, you often find these felines in your back yard, nesting in your barns and sheds and soon after you will notice a few more of the smaller kind.

There are also times when a cat can no longer be housed with its owner and is need of a new home.

Either way, the Gisborne Veterinary clinic has a dedicated team willing to give our friendly felines a new home.

Over the past few years, we have re-homed a large number of young kittens and adult cats and as this continues we cherish the moments when we see our kittens going to a new home with a family who will dedicate their time and love.

All of our rescue cats and kittens are FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) tested.

Adult cats will be desexed, fully vaccinated (including FIV), wormed, flea treated and microchipped. All cost inclusive.

Kittens will come with a voucher for future desexing at the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic (we recommend Desexing at around 6 months of age).  Some may not have completed their course of vaccinations before they go to their new home but the cost of the initial vaccine course is included in our price of $150 as is de-sexing.
Kittens will also be microchipped, wormed and flea treated.

Our nurses and trainees devote a lot of time to socialise our rescued feline friends to ensure you are guaranteed the most delightful companion.

Hi my name is Bowie the turkish van and I am looking for a loving home. I am an affectionate and cuddly boy and I can be a little shy. I am best suited to a home without other cats or young children as they frighten me. I am desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Due to my fair complexion I need to live indoors. If  you would like to adopt me please contact GVC for more information
