Dr Emma Lawson-Kissane joined the GVC in early 2010, Emma previously worked at a mixed practice in Bendigo and was looking for a tree change a little closer to Melbourne.

Fresh from completing specialist training in the USA, Dr Kath Mitchell has rejoined the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic team after a three year absence.
Dr Kath Mitchell has 8 years experience in the field of Large Animal Medicine, having graduated from Massey University (New Zealand) in 2002. After initially completing an internship at the University of Sydney’s Equine Clinic, Kath then headed south for a further two year internship at the University of Melbourne’s Equine Centre at Werribee. Following this Kath spent 18 months at the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic before heading off to Cornell University in Upstate New York to undertake her specialty training in the area of Large Animal Medicine. Following an intensive examination process, Kath received her Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Large Animal).
