About Meaghan
Growing up in rural Victoria, Meaghan developed a lifelong passion for horses, riding and competition. Her love of the equine world led her to complete Pony Club Australia’s A Certificate, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree.
Meaghan began her career as a Veterinary Nurse many years ago and has continued to build her knowledge and skills, with a particular focus on equine nursing, reproduction, rehabilitation and supporting veterinarians, nurses and horse owners.
Her commitment to equine nursing has taken her overseas, including work placements at two large equine hospitals in the USA. She has also presented at the ACVIM Veterinary Technicians Conference in the USA and on several occasions at the VNCA Annual Conference in Australia.
As GVC’s Large Animal Coordinator, Meaghan brings a wealth of equine knowledge and practical experience to the team. She is passionate about supporting high standards of care for our large animal patients and sharing her knowledge with both colleagues and clients.
Meaghan holds a Certificate III in Equine Nursing, Certificate in Equine Artificial Insemination, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma in Surgical and Emergency & Critical Care. She is also an Accredited Veterinary Nurse.
Outside of the clinic, Meaghan continues to ride and compete and enjoys coaching at both local and State Pony Club level and has a lovely collection of horses and a terrific little dog to keep her super busy!
